Meet Kim

I’m Kim Hutchinson, founder of No Ordinary Affair, and I believe the most memorable events are found in the details. With more than 25 years of experience planning and creating events, I have developed a passion for transforming spaces and bringing celebrations to life in ways that feel beautiful, personal, and uniquely memorable.

From intimate gatherings and milestone celebrations to weddings and special events, I bring together planning, design, styling, decor, florals, and finishing touches to create a cohesive experience from beginning to end.

Long before founding No Ordinary Affair, I was the person family, friends, colleagues, and community organizations turned to when something special needed to be planned. Throughout my career in retail and banking, I organized everything from promotional and corporate events to community outreach programs, holiday celebrations, and special gatherings-always looking for ways to make each occasion a little more extraordinary.

I’ve also had the privilege of working alongside a nonprofit organization to help plan and execute its annual Tea Party, welcoming more than 100 guests each year. Experiences like these have strengthened my ability to coordinate the many moving pieces of an event while never losing sight of what matters most: how the experience makes people feel.

Today, through No Ordinary Affair, I bring that experience, creativity, and attention to detail to every celebration I create.
